If you want someone in Auckland that knows their stuff, ring up Total MotoX in Kumeu, and ask for Matt Watson... he set up mine.

Since you have a pants set up on your own account try the ones suggested here, cant be any worse than what you are describing.

    YZF-R6 ('06)
    7/06
front preload --- 2 lines showing
front rebound damping --- 7 clicks out from full stiff
front comp. damping--- Slow-speed: 4 clicks out from full stiff; High-speed: 2.75 turns out from full stiff
    rear preload ----- position 3 of 8
rear rebound damping ---- 2 clicks out from full stiff
rear comp. damping ---- Slow-speed: 14 clicks out from full stiff; High-speed: 9 clicks out from full stiff

And to make your bike better than the new one spend that 2K with Robert Taylor and get him to fiddle with the shocks, best money spent on a bike from all accounts of those that have done it!
