Suzuki az50 or Yamaha jog 50?

Hmm looking for a jap scoot for work (15km flat running) Whats the better buy, 2007 Suz or yam?? probably buy a new one ($2k) as s/hand prices for a 2-3 yr old seem too high in chch . I read some where were the suz az is now made in japan , so were all the sj's etc sourced ex china?? . Are the yamaha made in japan? This will be a long term scoot , so bullet proof is high on the list, as no doubt it will be flogged by every one in the family eventually Cheers in advance any advice/thoughts , as I've never had any thing to do with scoots before

It's my belief (three years of seling new Suzukis) that you're correct. AZ is Japanese, SJ Chinese. Not that there's anythingwrong with the chinkers, but the AZ goes a little better.

As i have always said go with the Yamaha my old one i sold to a friend has 16000kms on it and nothing has gone wrong with it. Considering the way i treated it that is fairly amazing... The Jog is made in Taiwan i think.. Im not so sure about the AZ being made in Japan, i thought they moved there manufacturing to either Taiwan or Korea I could be wrong however.
