Al Gore wins the Nobel Peace Prize

What an insult to the previous laureates.

Hmmm, got a source? The peace price sounds a bit odd - hasn't he only been involved with the climate debate?

Anyway - if he turns out to be the guy who manages to pull america's head out it's ass (on the climate issue) then he certainly deserves praise.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

CNN probably counts as a reasonably reliable source.

Shrug. If in fact global warming is the issue that the klaxon-sounders make it out to be, and Gore has in fact caused the impact that he's tried to make, then I guess the prize is hardly undeserved.

I make no judgement either way, however.

I think global warming is a misleading term. People hear it and think: Great! I could use a longer summer. It's not just about a rising temperature - it's about all the things that are caused by it (e.g., storms & 'extreme weather', floods, heat-waves, etc.)

This has got to be a joke. If not, how could we ever take the Nobel Peace Prize seriously again?

We should stick a couple of tons of Nobel's best invention under the grandstanding twat and light the fuse...
