why the fuck are people complaining about aucklanders not paying for something inside auckland that they dont want.

if you feckers want it then pay for it. if you don't then whats the problem.

stop crying about jaffas, go and have some sniff sniff snifters

while we're at it, don't fund the amerika's cup.................
All of those things should be self funding, government cash should be spent on more pressing things like the dole or legal aid for gun-toting 'terrorists'. (Actually, in reality I was thinking schools and hospitals....)

I don't like ball sports, never have, rugby makes my stomach turn but if you want to play it, go right ahead. However, I don't think that rate payers should have their already too-high rates plundered to underwrite what is essentially a money-spinner for the IRB. Sure, they talk about the good of the community etc etc, and the money that will be generated in the area. I doubt that any of those dollars will be used as cash rebates for the people who might have been extorted to get the ball rolling (pun intended) if it had gone ahead.

The IRB just wants to line its own pockets to make up for previous fiscal blunderings and excesses.

Ha ha, fair one... but even if a private company is investing, its still not taxpayer cash.

that's not actually proof Sanx, it's OTHER people telling us what Cullen is supposed to have said.

However, suppose I accept it as proof; that still doesn't make it a broken verbal contract. If Labour were to leave government without doing it in that electoral term, THEN he would have broken a contract.

As this stands, he still has a year to run and a year to do as you say he said he'd do.

This wasnt technically a dig at Aucklanders as such, but it is relevant to point out that 67% of Kiwis live outside of Auckland and EVERYONE is important. Wouldnt it make a lot more sense to have a lot more industry out of Auckland so that it is not bursting its seams?

as i said before, work life balance is a real problem for far too many capitalists

dying rich from a heart attack at 55 is a waste of a life

my own capitalist endeavors probably take far less time and are quite rewarding

My spelling mistake. But this one eyed lefty with way too much idle time certainly has an argumentative disposition. He should appear at Speakers corner in Hyde Park. The communist mayor of London would doubtless love him.
