It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
Whatever, ask my mate who just popped down to the bakery from work and woke up in hospital, two months later and he still cant ride his bike and the infection in his knee is only just coming right now, had he been wearing what he should have been he would'nt have spent 7 weeks on ACC! Hmmm, THINK about it...
Ten foot tall and bullet proof does'nt exist, otherwise Rossi and co would be thier bikes in a T-shirt, shorts and a pair of jandals.![]()
I think what Kevmo7 is trying to put across is that older touring riders tend to go for the Cordura look, just as the younger hooligan knee-down racers go for one-piece leathers look and stunters go for the vest, jeans, skater shoes, MX gloves and no armored protection look... yeah, it may not be as safe as a full set of above-mentioned cordura or leathers, but that's what they choose to wear...
Look at it from a different perspective... you wouldn't go dressed up in crotchless chaps and a cowboy hat to a rave? No, you'd dress yourself in overly colourful vest or anything that looks good under a UV light, shorts and fancy shoes with metres and metres of that stupid glow-in-the-dark bracelets and things like that.
There's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there? -Clerks
