It is 368km. I drove it twice a week every week for 18 months back in the day. You can get it in an easy 4.5 hours. 3 if DMTD is riding.

Be good to catch up with you again. Hope the weather is better than today. We need more green round here.

Ah you just wanna check out our bikes n person , the Taupo trip from Tauranga is pretty boring really for us, and looking forward to seeing parts of the country I havent taken the time to ride yet. I hear there are some nice windy roads over that way

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

You'd be most welcome As Chanceyy points out you'll be looked after no worries, were all out there to just enjoy the day, some ride quicker than others but we regularly regroup, that the name of the game so it's all good.

You know it could all be a ploy and Sarge is going to get us over that side and make us do all of his docking!

laffing sarge would have difficulty with that one as we would be saying seeya & ride off into the distance .. i have learnt to carry a map with me so no probs bout getting lost .. I can actually read it too .. unlike others of the Ashhurst crew

    hhmmm

Mrs V8 and I could be in.. Will check both work calanders and see how we are placed for this. Never been to castle point but could be a nice squirt over that side. Did Akitio beach a couple of weeks ago and that was fantastic so hopefully we can make it..

If you are keen...NZSarge just alerted me to this ride and I'm giving it (more than) serious contemplation. You guys could come thru to Napier on Saturday, stay at ours that night and then we travel down to meet the rest on Sunday. And reverse for your trip home if you like.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Indeed. DMNTD has threatened several times and I'm beginning to think he's all flash and no substance
Actually, cos Friday is also a holiday for us, I have another cunning plan just lolloping around in the background. Could work too....

What time should I meet you guys at Dannevirke so we can do the backroads to Masterton and then out to Castle point?
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
