    Windy Wairarapa

Anyone else go up to the Wairarapa today. Bit of a challenge going over the hill today - huge wind gusts! Didn't see many bikes about - a few outside Gladstone pub at lunchtime. We took the Transalp over - 2 up - to hold us down on the road. Went up the water towers and ended up at Masterton Park (in the middle of town) - just to get out of the wind and showers for a while. Really nice bird avaries there for any interested. Had a wander round Henley Lake then came back home - still blowing a gale! A few bikes round Featherston.

Same type of weather though the Rangitiki District and Hawkes Bay. So bad in fact I got blown over on the Napier/Taihapi rd. Two nice young chaps, thanks whoever you were, gave me a hand to get he CX up on what seemed to be a 30 degree camper. Wind was funneled though a couple of noles.

    Hi Bonez

What's this "young chaps" - you're just a young fella yourself!

Hope you're okay - no broken bits (bike or yourself).
