For Those of an Etymological Bent...

Stumble Upon lead me to this site which challenges you to define words and donates rice if you get it right. Quite good fun and I got to Level 46 once......

How long does it go on for, I had to quit at 1390 grains of rice and I averaged about 35. (total tumbles when you get one wrong)

Actually I amazed myself a few times! Had to think. (lol) John.

made it to level 37 and donated 200 grains of rice.

Could be fun to see what level you can get to with a dictionary.

It's quite fun, but too easy. Also it's not about etymology, this is just match the definition.

Oh yes, it soon gets all etymooological, you got to start working out the words in halves.

EDIT: Holy spit, it soon gets really hard. I stalled at level 46. Impossible!

Yeah know what you mean. I've had it open in a Firefox tab all weekend and so far have donated 5240 grains of rice. My tweenage children like it too. Apparantly it goes to Level 50 but I won't see that. Been to 46 a couple of times.

Well in the FAQs it says it's rare for people to get above 48. Level 50 is the highest.
And I am very grateful that I have learnt 5 languages - certainly makes picking the answers easier.
