    Vicks Vic club venture...

FRIDAY...raced around at work so we could head off to the track early, trying not to kill any animals accidentally, managed to bop a couple but bought them back to life with my remarkable skills

Convoyed to the track with Deano,Simon,Luke and Tania, they dragged us off all the way. It's ok tho coz the ute actually made it without blowing up this time!
Got to the track and met up with all our friends who are also our amazing sponsors. Dam awesome of them all to ride down, especially Kerry KTL, as he just landed in the country that arvo! And Rob and Cherry driving down with the new team bike in tow. Met some more of the Anglo American MotorCycle club guys and drank a few bourbons, what a hard case awesome bunch they all are!. Some of our room mates indulged in boozy party antics, one sat on the couch steering into space blabbing on about beating Stoner, and having his pitbitch Cindy slapping his butt! The other one was full of love, except towards Drew becoz he wouldn't let him do the man hug thing.

RACEDAY... got there early so Drew could set up his Duc. I was a bit worried about riding the track as the only time I had ridden that circuit it spat me off and a chunk of my elbow went missing somewhere.

QUALIFYING...Just treated it as a way to re-learn the track, couldn't get to the test day as there were animals waiting at work for me to bop off. Didn't get into a groove so just enjoyed the ride and got used of new gearing. Qualified 15th.

RACE ONE... Got a pretty good start from 4th row, passed a few, but got balked well and truely going into turn one. (must borrow drews manbits next time!!) Some old thing blew up in front of me, think it was one of them gixxers and smoked out the whole track, but we gagged and gasped and continued on to watch him crash. Thank F^*K for that! (not that he crashed, but that we could breath again!)

Think I was in about 7th, but couldn't groove it up yet again, and got passed by some other bikes, smart looking kwaka by the way! cheers for the wave on your way by, I thought you were pointing at your butt and wanting me to perve! how rude while a gurls trying to focus!!!. I missed a few gears coming out of turns, the bike has a few neutrals floating around in the box. Think I just need to adjust my gearshift. Any hoo....got 10th. disapointed I couldn't find my fire cracker......I think Drew stole it, HUH!......he don't know where that thing was being stored at manfield eh! Had a ball none the less.....bike is fanblardy tastic!

RACE TWO...Much the same as race one, but only one bike got passed me WAHOOOOOoooooooo (and he didn't even wave this time), except the Honduh that got me on the last lap......and suddenly my MOJO returned.....I out braked him into the last sweeper, got back passed and got away and wondered what the hell I had been doing prior to this moment, the bike felt suddenly like the weapon that it really is......thought I had left my mojo back in manfield somewhere, but nooooooooo, it was hiding in my pants the whole time and I just found it a liddle too late.

SUM IT UP......I can not WAIT until the track day this weekend to get to know my bike and understand what it's caperble of without raceday heebies. Its a fantastic machine that never puts a wheel wrong, the rider however needs to understand this, and trust it! A few hours on board this bike is going to give me all the confidence I need to take it into F2 next year .

THANKS to Kerry (KTL) you ROCK!!!! Rob and Cherrypie you ROCK, Grant, Terry, Don (bob), and all you Anglo American MC Club guys.....YOU ROCK! You have truely given Drew and I something very magic in our lives, not just the bikes, but your amazing friendship, and support.

Drew, for all your help changing my gearing and hauling my bike around everywhere for me ...WITHOUT even dropping it!, and the big lufs and hugs when I get that silly disapointed look on my face Babe ...I couldn't have ever dreamed of a more deserving team mate either, I was well proud of you out there on your bike for the first time, handing a lot of them thou's a good veiw of your #131's butt. And fantastic to see the joy that the 749 has bought to you. Deano and Simon for being such positively happy dudes and making our weekend even more fun and entertainment. All my AWESOME friends that support us all weekend after weekend cheering and taking pics.... yes Skels and Mels that is you included of course! And all my fellow competitors for giving me someone to chase....Aria and Luke of course I still lufs you even tho you kicked my butt!!!
And all the VMCC organizers and hardworkers who without peeps like you......none of us would get the chance to live our dreams

Way to do it Flame. Great that you and Drew have got such good sponsorship with good peeps. Roll on next season. I might have to do a PMCC meeting or two this year to feed the addiction.

Way to go, you definatly have found some more speed since you got off the ape.

I too am looking forward to the trackdays as I was about 5 seconds off my usual pace.

Nice report Vicki. Shame that your impressive form at Manfeild last month couldn't quite carry over in to the this round, but it's hard to adjust to the go-kart track that is Taupo, so very understandable.

    Catch you in F2
