    Left Yaldhurst 7:25am, arrived Prestons Road 8:30ishpm: Not the fastest 1000km traverse ever, but we did have some long stops.
    My chiropractor is thrilled with how it went... and 14 hours is a long time to be staring at the inside of a helmet
    For me the hero of the day was the guy I saw just out of Renwick (assuming he was doing the 1000km) crunched up on a CBR250RR. 1000kms in a day on a 250 sportsbike? Now that's commitment.

    Check the North Island 1000km trip in the Ride Reports area, they had a FXR150 complete it.

    Great day out with not a drop of rain. i started at 6.30am from Manchester St and finished at 6pm at Fitzgerald Ave. About 50 minutes of stops so i'm quite pleased with my average speeds. Thought i would have seen more cops in Nelson as the rally was on but can't recall seeing any - maybe more mufti cars were sent in to the area?

    left Blenheim at 6:30 back in town 7:00 pm GPS stated 1004 km (had to do another 25 km at the end to complete 1000 km ) total moving time was 9hrs and 3 mins
    could barely walk the next day

    Try were all out on Friday trying to "clock" us. on the way to nelson , alot of unmarked cars out. Safety in numbers was the order of the day
