    2007 RNGC - Big Tank + Hard Arse = 2100Kms in 24 hours!

    I've recorded my vague & blurry memories of the weekend's action packed adventures in my blog;
    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/bl...9500&entry=307

    It's a bit of a long read but...whatever!!

    Nice to meet some of the faces from last year and a few new ones. I didn't have much time for photos on the ride but look forward to seeing Nadroj's.

    A big thanks to the Rustys and congrats to all the other participants...See yo'all next year!!

    Best $13 I ever spent. It'll probably cost more than that to put rugged domes on it, but then, I don't expect to be out in those sort of conditions for a long time.

    Respect on the 2,100km effort. I know from (bitter) personal experience what an arse of a thing an ST1300 is to ride in a big crosswind. There were certainly plenty of those on offer!

    Who was the fourth 2,100-er? You, Ian, Dawson and ??

    Yes, I was a bit tight across the back afterwards and had a wee bit of difficulty getting off the bike when I finally got in. A hot pool after and massage on the Tuesday certainly went down well.

    I didn't know or meet the 4th rider. I believe he was on a beemer.
