    Why bother?

I'm sitting at my desk, with nothing to do AGAIN and its really frustrating me. Why would my employers hire me for a position that really is only a 1 person job and give me an assistant? Also my assistant has been in this business for years and years and knows all the ins and out so all the work goes to her and she won't let go of it. I ask my boss for work and he doesn't have anything to give me so he knows full well that I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs.

I'm not the sort of person to sit here and do nothing and it is driving me crazy. I have been looking around but no avail plus I'm looking at other options. But in the meantime does anyone have any suggestion as to what i can do to make the day go quicker? Besides being of Kb of course.

Surely you can amuse yourself sufficiently in the magical world of the internet to get through the boring days?

If that doesn't work, Iain M. Banks is a marvellous author. Start reading his body of work.

They're not mind-numbingly huge, but she does have rather fetching legs.

    Hmm.

My access to the internet is pretty limited I'm thanking my lucky stars that I have access to KB.

I'm not allowed to read at my desk as it doesn't look very professional

Can you do some additional planning for your place of work or even charity organisations that your place of work can associate themselves with. Stuff that can improve profits, work environment etc. Little side projects to keep your mind active but not too active. Other than that sounds like my kind of job.

lol. welcome to the world of being a caddie, this week ive done about 5hrs of actual work! all week!

Tis great, but sux being in an office,

my last job was 100% on site, about the same work load (although you had to do nothing for 9-12hrs a day not 8 like an office) and being on site ment we could go do WHATEVER we wanted, as long as we had a cellphone, 3hr lunches were the norm, poker, beer, movies you name it we did it _b
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

I still recommend reading good novels, but just load them up as e-texts rather than having a paper book open in your lap.

Project Gutenberg has a lot of the classics, things with expired copyright etc, or there are a lot of online sites that sell more contemporary works for download at very reasonable prices. You can then open up your novel in Acrobat Reader and go to town, maintaining a 'professional' appearance at all times.

Well if I'm not allowed to read at my desk because it is not professional I don't believe I would be allowed to get away with that.

I'm not sure I trust your taste on novels that one you last gave me was a little weird, interesting but weird.
