Interesting that the round on November 18th clashes with Round 1 of the AMCC Champs. I wonder who will win the race for the MNZ license to hold the event...

    Nobody will win.
Knowing how MNZ works they will issue a permit to each event.
    Happened before will happen again.
Another reason I don't give them money any more.

i notice on the form it says lap scoring will be done by volunteers trackside.. so much for them getting timing equipment for this year!
what class are you racing Steve and Simon?

Yes, but last year when they clashed MNZ would only issue one permit and AMCC won. First in first servied I think. Who knows, maybe they will issue two permits.

I was going to ask "What is the logic in that?" But then I remembered, this is MNZ we are talking about.

I understand they want to use transponders but if the AMCC is the same day then Tim Gibbs will be booked for there. I would say that will be the reason. Another example of the great organising by a badly organised club.

PMCC is basically a class seperated track day in my opinion. Rubbish.

I am amazed that MNZ allow the slack safety issues to operate under the permit (by that i mean 9 or 10 bikes per row for a heat start).
If the riders rep for the day had balls the issue would be sorted out straight away. Two years ago i was doing F3 at PMCC and i got passed mid race by a guy "practising "on an F1 bike, yes he was allowed out by the organisers FFS. Im sure with that attitude a few sidecars could go out in a race to practice as well. Safety would not be comprimised would it ???

Aye but unfortunately it's a choice between a well organised race day on a crap track or a not-so-well organised race day on a not so crap track.

AFAIK the PMCC are crying out for assistance. If there are more volunteers then I'd assume the organisational aspects would be improved.

AMCC don't use Gibbs track timing. And Pukes a mint track. At least there's heaps of opportunities to overtake a slightly slower rider.

taupo is a nicer track for the 400... so permit permitting.. i'll be heading south....
amcc dont use timing either.... last time i raced there they gave some dude my placing in the first race and i wasnt even recorded as participating!

so who's heading to taupo for the 18th?
