Why? I think this way it's the perfect wake up call for quite a few people.

Contrary to popular opinion the majority of motorcycle crashes are caused by the rider, not everyone else, and certainly not "cages".

Sounds to me like someone hasn't had the "pleasure" of losing bladder control in slow motion as you arc violently through the air feeling and hearing things break and pop as you hit yet another relatively immovable object.

I notice that if you hit the front of a van at a 45 degree angle it pays to have a pillion with you to cusion the secondary impact. Must invest in one of those.

90% of my accidents have been caused by others fault and none of my own and they are the only ones i have been hurt in

I think you need to revisit that particular statistic. There are always things you could have done to avoid a crash. The first step is taking responsibility for putting yourself in a position to be involved in a crash.

There's no such thing as an accident. Until you understand that you will keep getting hurt.

I have to disagree there Jim,whilst i think many are avoidable theres some that are simply unavoidable. Many moons ago i rounded a tight corner to find a car doing a u turn directly in front of me,there was absolutly nothing i could do in the time and space available, the resulting collision sent me over the car resulting in a broken arm/leg amongst other things,i wasnt speeding. The only possibility of avoiding such an accident is to A not go round blind corners B slow to a crawl when you do.I can remember aaron slight in one of his saftey campaign ads saying go around every corner as though you expect something to be there..all very well, but.

If the road fell out from underneath you or God dost smite thee with a meteor, that is an accident.

Your "accident" was clearly a crash and there were things you could have done.

However most people feel it is easier and less damaging to the ego to ship all responsibility off on to others for stuff that happens to us.

I haven't had an accident that wasn't my fault. I'm always amazed that no one else can see that they contributed to whatever incident they were involved in, irrespective of whose insurance has to pay out.
