Wow now these a good thought - forget the pots tho. Frostys place at Mangawhai. I could bring the dive gear up and get us some crustacians for the Barbie. Any other KBers scuba dive? Gotta be better than hot pools surely ????

Cool idea but dya think its good for a christmas party ?
Now if yaa'll wanna party down for a couple of days well then we're talkin summat else.
Theres this place I know. Its 50 acres of private land. All forested.
There are a couple of good sized clearings for camping in. Its close to a beach. The ride there is down 20km of windy road with a short section of dirt road to the site. Theres a pub 5 minutes ride away.
It doesn't have running water for drinking but bore water for porta showers.
for a possible ride weekend itd be cool
Ohh and best of all --it wouldn't cost to use it

Absolutely. Roads in the Gizzy district seem to feel a little corrugated compared to other parts of the Bay, but round the coast has everything. I gotta do again - maybe November when I am back down in the Bay.

it is a fair haul for anyone who doesn't live here already which is the biggest downside, it's 10 minutes after the tolaga bay township, weather isn't always guaranteed either, but the place rocks at new year, the paddock has water and also portaloos provided by the gis city council, but ppl are expected to take their own loo, and there are also rubbish skips as well. 10 minute gravel road to the site, off the main road, the paddock is on a first come first served basis, and if it's full up theres not a lot you can do about it, fills up around new year, usually can get in just before xmas day no problems, can take around 40 tents etc

sweet as PT, I'm keen to go camping pretty much anywhere if the kids are welcome to come as well, the old van can go anyplace pretty much. Wouldn't consider inflicting my speediness on a bike on other ppl at that time of year lol!!
