Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Don't worry, I'll either be on my 150 or 250 Less then half of the ride is above 70kph and we won't be going over 100

    Hi Meekey.

The flag bearers can only travel at 70-80 max in my opinion. They create a lot of drag and flap all about the place. When we went in to Wellington we stayed at 80 max 70 was better. Could you have a lead rider, maybe you, that knows the run and holds the lead at 70-80 on the open road and 30-50 in town? Also we need people to hold the traffic at roundabouts and intersections. They just need to ride out in to the lane, when it is clear, and hold the traffic till all the bikes are around the intersection. The lead rider can stop at the intersection but once they start again it is best all bikes keep going to clear the intersection. Thats when other riders can hold the traffic. Your Mum and Dad and brother maybe. Also the lead rider has to maintain a very steady speed or the back of the group end up with a rubber band effect. I would like to ride behind John and Warrick and keep an eye on the flags. We ask that everyone ride offset to the bike in front of them. No stunt riding would be good as we need to have the public on our side.

    Sound ok John and Warrick?

Also we had a great write up in our local paper tonight. Well Done John, Janet and Warrick. You guys have done well with this campaign. Keep it up.

Sounds good to me...was going to mention the maximum speed of 70ks...cause thats the speed at which we lose our bits on the barriers

Ooooh yeah! Sorry, never thought about the flags causing drag They must be pretty difficult to ride with! I was wondering if you guys would want to lead the group, that way it would be kept at a steady pace, no one would rush past you to do any thing stupid and it would be obvious why we were riding.. What do you guys think? Would you rather have at least one bike in front that knows the way? I have no idea what it is like to ride with the flags, so if you would be more comfortable any where else then go for what you think would be best

I've been pondering over asking the cops if they would help to block the traffic lights, Spa round about and SH5 intersections... but am slightly concerned that if I go to talk to them they will think it's going to be a "rowdy bike thing" and not take me seriously because of my age and or try delay the workshop.

The other thing is, as you can see, there aren't many people on KB in Taupo and most of the bikers in Taupo don't get together. So trying to get marshals together could be quite difficult unless we are able to do it on here.

Sorry if this is quite jumbled, my head is foggy from painting all day and my comp is running really slow

See PM. We will sort out the traffic. We just need a rider who is confident that can ride to the right lane and park in the front of it till the bikes have gone. If a car pushes in no problem let them go. We can filter around the round about and re group. Yes the flags should be in the front. It will all work out fine. No stress Meekey. Will be in touch.

Aye MSTRS... can we have a chat about helping Meekey sort this? As you and Tart and Mrs W are going direct could you be half an hour early and be there to give a brief on the ride before we start? Just incase we are late or what ever. Meekey and or Speights Bud could lead the ride. Can Tart coordinate the bikes at the end of the ride? Ie indicate when to switch off and hold the 2 minutes silence and then the ride away? Let me know what you think and we could sort it on Saturday night. Cheers

Now hadn't got that in my head yet because I wasn't sure how long I was going to stay. At this point, I was thinking to leave at 6ish to be there comfortably by 10
