if there are any newer riders among us, they may still be uncertain on loose-ish stuff. even after the 25,000+k ive done, im still very shaky on loose stones and the like.

    cheers, adam, for the update.

It will be slow. It is in town and the road is likely to be 30 kmh. It will be hard to change the ride at this late stage and Spa road gives us a loop of Taupo that brings us down in to a round about to rejoin the traffic on SHW1. I will go and have a look at it when we arrive in Taupo for the ride. Could you have a look Meekey? Thanks Is there a road we could use if this is to bad?

I'm in Auckland atm... So not sure if I'll be able to. Will try get it done if I can

Which Rd are you talking 'bout Adam? Miro is up by the industrial area and it doesn't join onto Spa Rd. We also won't be riding through Miro... So might not be a problem at all?

Hey guys, I rode up the part of Spa Rd that I think Adam was talking about... It's not bad At the speed we'll be going, I can't see any problems arising with it.

Head over the bridge going into town from Rotorua then first on the right and follow ya nose.

I will have the trailer on with some signage and extra placards for those who would like to hold them. Pix to come

I survived the WWW ride, so will be there tomorrow.
I urge any other Ham town riders to head to Taupo also. You only have to ride in the Waikato a few times to be concerned with the abundance of these barriers.
I'm leaving from the northern Te Rapa Shell at approx 8am for those keen.

    Awesome

If any one isn't sure where the meeting place is, meet at Mcdonalds at 11AM...

If you're not sure where the Mcdonalds is then ask and I'll try find a map

The Pre-Start Assembly area is in Ferry Road...just up from the Boat Harbour. Its directly opposite the Rose Gardens.....also very close to the Taupo Yacht Club......where the Float Plane is parked at the jetty. Those riders coming from South will go along the Lake front and turn left toward the boat harbour instead of going up through town. Those Riders coming from up North will (as Holy Roller has already pointed out) turn left into Redoubt Road (past what used to be the camping ground) after crossing over the Flood Control Bridge...before you get to the Big Roundabout at the corner of Spa Road and Tongariro Street. If you can find where the boats are tied up you will surely find us. Cheers W
