Am heading up to Okaihau Saturday, will try to meet up with you guys at BP. Don't bother waiting for me, I'll catch up if need be.

What way are you guys heading up?

Sorry Neal - good health eluded me yesterday. Looked to be a fair turn-out on the TV news.

Thanks for a great ride up there guys and gals. I enjoyed riding with you all, even though I was a bit nervous through the gorge, especially with Chris on my tail most the way!

Had a most enjoyable ride back with snevets27, that Hyosung sure can get up and going mate. After deciding not to get gas in Waihi I spluttered through Bethlehem after you turned off and I filled up again at BP Summit. All was good after that so I have come to the conclusion I have a lower tank full of shit as it was splutter free all day before that.

The only incident for us was we followed two riders on armchairs - sorry, Harleys - up to and halfway along the Ngatea straights. A car was trying to pass them but they were meandering around the centre-line at about 100k's. After some indecision we passed them, expecting to have the roar of them chasing us for being so daring, but was all good in the end.

All in all a great experience!

My ride up there wasn't so shit hot because the bike was still stalling everyone I slowed down to stop. Thankfully, it seems to have stopped doing it now *fingers crossed*

I still feel afer baking in the sun on Saturday, but it's for a good cause.

Some pics of the crew on the way up. At Paeroa and then at Bombay.

LOL Chris, all good mate, I kept looking in my mirrors, hoping I wasn't cramping your style, I came out of the gorge with a smile on me face
