Cheers BR - this will be an excellent day out!Sounds like a plan. I've had a play with the map & worked out some rough distances so as to plan fuel stops etc. Have assumed everyone can manage 200kms on a tank.
Plan:
Important stuff:
- Awake early to a nice sunny day!
- Palmy crew meet at BP Rangatiki @ 07:50 for 08:00 start.
- Quick stop other side of Wanagnui to pick up Hornet250Boy. No time for pies or coffee - you've only been on the bike an hour...
- Arrive Stratford somewhere around 10:30 (maybe a tad earlier).
- Gas & coffee, plus meet up with any naki & Waikato riders
- Hit the highway
- Lunch in Whanga
- Head on to Tamarunui then Turangi for gas.
- Quick stop at Flat Hills or Mangaweka for a coffee.
- Vinegar Hill & home.
That's enough of that waffle, see you there!
- Have fun but take it easy - don't want any mishaps!
- Careful on the gravel - no roosting!
- If you want to stop for photos anywhere on the Forgotten Highway go for it - you won't be the only one.

Glad you got a solution tho!Cool ill make sure im at BP at about 8:30 just in case.And i wont be taking the hornet 919 either,cutting a long story short the hornet's engine block cracked so i took it back and said na no quick fixes ill get something else so i now ended up with a mint near new Suzuki gsx600f (with some added extras which ill show off tomorrow)
and boy is it nice might even compete with the ducati's exhaust

A few of us will be waiting at the Shell on the SH43 round a bout in Stratford from about 10am, looks like Pat, nodroj & myself @ this stage, some late comers possible.

Blindfold Al when you get there,they have nice coffee,or else subway over the road,yoou'll never get him going if he spies two coffee outlets.
Also as a thought with the bbq being used,perhaps we should all throw in a couple of bucks each and get a feed of chips from the pub,especially as we will also need drinks,best we don't upset the owners by having a bbq next to the pub.
