Could be advisable, but it's still easily done with a slightly later (but not too much later) start. Let's see what the tribe say lol.

The goat died,so poodle was chosen, similar to our government situation.
Nice money container on the bar for donations for upkeep of the road, someone should tell the politicians, our taxes are for that.

Any thoughts on doing the trip reverse way, then when at Whanga pub,say 1.30 ish(depending on start, not sure of time needed from Manawatu),and photo stops, you have say 4 hours riding to get home and maybe 3/4hr for pics from pub to Stratford. On a good run Stratford- Palmy 190 kms say easy 2 hours.Mind you at that time (3pm on)a few cops might be about.

220 is HEAPS. Dont get all excited about carrying extra fuel. Fill up before you leave, fill up in stratford and you will get all the way round to Ohakune if ou want to.

Nearly all men can stand adversity and hard time, but if you want to test a mans true character, give him power....

Would be nice to get 300 but at a stretch maybe 250 is do-able... either way I am not stressed

Not quite, theres 14 km of gravel left on the Taumarunui side of Whangamomona. Easy and recently graded.

You'll have no probs Lee. The FH is only 151 kms with fuel at both ends.
