Today I paid my $400 fine (for not displaying the L Plate)
$400 for a piece of a plastic stuff? now THAT is not justice is it?

Word is that the whole traffic enforcement regime is getting a make over sometime soon.

Fines will be down, demerits will be up.

For instance the current $400 + 25 demerits for driver licence breaches will apparently become $150 + 35 demerits. Better for the pocket but it will cost you your licence after 3 times.
