Perhaps he doesn't ride enough. I've been working on the cars and I've just ducked in for a coffee now must go get the bike out, the wind is dying down so its looking nice for a quick ride.

we had an an old fella come into my store the other day, wanders up to my manager who greets him with "g'day mate, how's your day going?" in the warmest most sincere tone you can imagine.
the fella looks down at him and saying sternly "at my age I do not expect to be called 'mate', I'm now leaving your store" turns around and walks away.
my manager looks as though he's been slapped for a bit...then a grin cracks on his face and we all have an excellent laugh about it.
was this fella expecting "welcome to [store here] sir, ah, how may I be of service to your needs today?....ah oh yes a wonderful choice sir...yes yes of course sir.....why sir, yes sir....well good day to you sir, may you enjoy your [product] sir"

Just got back from a wee cruise to Paekak - the Hill road was rather busy because Works Infrastructure had Grays Road closed so all the cars in the world were being diverted up the hill. Great
Only saw a couple other bikes as I was heading North and then when I came back South only passed one cruiser and it was heading the same way as me.
