    Biker down Te Puke RIP (27 October)

    One dead, another injured in motorcycle crash
    A teenager is dead and another person seriously injured after a motorcycle crash in Te Puke tonight.

    Senior Sergeant Glenn Saunders said two motorcycles collided head-on at 9.30pm.

    The injured rider was taken to Tauranga hospital and is in a serious condition, Mr Saunders said.

    Police inquiries into the cause of the crash were continuing. The dead person has not yet been named.

    Motorbikes collide last night near Te Puke

    The news report says it's possible they didn't have lights on. 18 year old farm manager killed .

    If they were riding at night without lights, then surely they must be stacking the odds against themselves.

    it says neither bike was equipped with lights...which says to me race bikes...or motorcross bikes...?

    theres another thread... hopefully mods will merge

    yeah thats what i mean like off road bikes....

    not exactly gunna be many racebikes in te puke.....

    andi would sya it was probably reasonably low speed...but they were probably in minimal gear.....

    just a quick blat round the lane type thing
