Short notice: Riding to Taupo from Auckland

Anyone riding by bike to Taupo in the next few hours?

Will be riding from East Auckland, other rider is now driving... ideally won't do motorways, but doesn't need to be an insane route (need tyre to last )

Ideally... you know the route... not me Give me a call on 021 953 943

edit: not a flying pace, but not crawling, happy with anything in between

Gremlin, two bikers riding to Taupo now - meet autobahn at 1.30pm for legal speed ride down.
in order to appreciate a good steak, you should eat the occasional greasy hamburger.

Yeh, hate straights, painful and boring.

If I don't make it to duckaddict in time, I will probably do 22, then 31 (or pirongia, whatever that road is) through Te Kuiti, across to 1, into Taupo, shouldn't be too bad, and obviously I haven't left early
