Now if for the next season Rossi would just move on to Suzuki or Kawasaki that would make it even more interesting

What could Jerry Burgess do with the WCM which is Yamaha based? Put Rossi on that with about a 40km/hr disadvantage. He'd probably still win.

Capirossi was back on the podium too, must have seen Lynda in the crowd wearing his bandanna cheering him on.

My man Edwards let himself down with a poor start but got past many to be right up behind Loris at the end. Colin is a bit like Aaron Slight was in that respect, it used to be Aaron's starts that killed him in WSBK.

    But yes, what a race!!!!
    Cheers

I think those to riders need to change their race plan. Rossi always makes a move at half distance and gibernau always at 3/4. Just about every race. Does make for some good last laps tho.

No need to shout, mate! You can't really blame Sete, he's anything but a sore loser, Rossi has really set out to snub Sete after what happened at Qatar. The commentators missed it and I guess you did to, but Sete and Vale did shake hands. If you taped it rewind and check it out, the camera is on Jerry Burgess and Rossi's crew, and in the background Sete offers his hand to Rossi, they shook but Rossi hardly even bothered to turn and acknowledge Sete, Sete then comes over and shakes Burgess' hand which the commentators see and discuss. Its more of a poor act from Rossi to just diss Gibernau like that, poor show from Valentino I reckon.....

Might have to change your pic.
I wonder who will be up there next year?
Biaggi isnt much of a threat anymore.

Rossi just seems to be a class above the rest - he's making the rest of the field look like WSB riders especially on his under powered bike. I wouldn't be suprised to see Yamaha throwing lots more money at their motogp effort now and resolving their power/top speed issues for next year.

It was good to see Rossi having to really work this year and showing what he is capable of. The last few years he just seemed to be coasting along but this year we saw lots of uncharacteristic mistakes and crashes from him which shows how hard he was pushing. If the Yamaha gets better in the off season he will have it all his own way again. I don't think Honda can make up the deficit of matching the Yamaha AND Rossi's skills with the bike and riders they have.

Full props to Sete in those last few laps tho. I didn't think he had what it took to reel Rossi back in and take him but he proved me wrong (well kinda). Too bad he wasn't a bit more consistent otherwise he could've taken the title. I feel a little sorry for him - another "almost" rider who picked the wrong time to peak.
