    Rust prevention

Yea like the title suggest it's about 'rust prevention' but it's more on the lines of cylinder pipes on bikes and cars which rusts up over time.

Just wondering what's a good preventative measure to stop it rusting further?

At the moment I've just been spraying CRC here and there but I need a more permanent solution.

Any tips on taking rust off the pipes ? (a step by step method thanks!)

Any good shit on the market which you peeps recommend and what do you do when you spot rust?

If you want to stop rust then keep your bike garaged when not in use. When you ride it dry it, then clean it and polish it with chrome polish afterwards with lots of elbow grease. There is no magic cure.

If they're black you can use a steelo, then little bit of rust converter then the black zinc spraypaint that doesn't rust.

Blackguard rust converter. Works fine for general applications.

Warning. Don't use rust converters on High Tensile steel components.
It causes hydrogen enbrittlement resulting in cracking and failure.

Fairing mounts and brackets are fine, but I wouldn't use it near welds on a frame or swingarm.

You can get it from Repco and supercheap.
