Took just over a week including shipping it to and from the South Island last time I used him

Ken rewound my Blackbird stator to a higher spec than original when it fried itself in March down south (a known weakness). Cost $208 delivered and took two weeks as he was quite busy. Two south island Honda dealers that I spoke to recommended him.

    Spoiled for choice, aren't you?

And then find the cause - most likely the regulator/rectifier.....and the battery too.Don't say you've checked them! Check again,or else you'll be doing another rewind.

Im thinking it could be the rectifier, i had a problem 3 days before the stator went up in smoke,
one of the stator wires going to the rectifier, burnt out, and i had to resolder , then 3 days later it all went to shit,
My fault, i should of taken the rectifier out and had it checked,

no xmas presents for the kids this year.
