    Why me?? :(

OK, I have had a set of bad luck with regards to my health. For the final round of Vic Club races, I was sick, for R2 of AMCC at Pukie, I had the flu.

Now a really fun weekend is coming up with Pukie and Manfield track days and my flu returns!! FAARRRRKK!!!

What do you reckon is the quickest remedy that'll get me up and running by Saturday morning?

Drink heaps of fluids, including stuff with electrolyte replacements (potassium and sodium) You can get Berocca type stuff from Pak and Save really cheap. Eat apples and bananas. Blow your nose as often as you can (use aloe vera tissues) - AND GOT TO BED AND REST. now.

There's no miracle cure except rest so your body has heaps of energy to kill the virus.

Alcohol and a double dose of hepatotoxic analgesics.

    Well, it'd certainly do *something*.

The sleep's probably the trick. If the painkillers keep you knocked out, it'll give the body a better chance of sorting the bugs.

But hell, six hours a good sleep? I'm utterly stuffed if I'm restricted to less than 8 with any regularity. Back in t'day, when I was training and wotnot, I slept 10 every night without fail, and noticed it bigtime if I missed out.

If we're going to make engine/metabolism comparisons, I'd probably be a single-cylinder marine diesel.
