Trevor Mallard and Tau Henare came to blows at Parliament yesterday after the National MP accused the minister of being a hypocrite.

It is believed Mr Mallard struck Mr Henare during a heated argument in a lobby outside the parliamentary debating chamber and the pair had to be prised apart. - www.nzherald.co.nz

My money is on Henare - he would outreach Mallard and have no compunction in using the "Hannibal Lecter" move if the action got close...

i was thinking that henare should lay an assualt charge - would mallard be booted from parliament if convicted?

moot point though. his defense would be "he was getting smart bro" and he'd get let off with diversion.

So its ok for Henare to goad Mallard over and over about Mallard's very recent marriage breakup while sitting in parliament?

That is why Mallard reacted.

Not really but since Mr Mallard had a similar poke at Don Brash last year he would be a hypocrite to complain, as mr henare pointed out. Karma sucks sometimes.

Henare has been after Mallard for some time because of the way Mallard got stuck into Tukuroirangi Morgan over the expensive grundies thing and also the same tactics with Brash and his marriage collapse.

So if Mallard is screaming "Foul" now, then it is a bit hypocritical
