    1979 vs 1980?

I recently bought a 1980 Cb400n (superdream! haha). With it came two service manuals, a Clymer and a Haynes. The Clymer refers to the models from 1978 to 1980, but does not specifically mention the cb400n (Honda Hawk I and II and the CM400).

The Haynes manual refers specifically to the cb250 and cb400n models, but is for the models 1978 - 1979.

So what I'm asking is does anyone know if there were any major differences between the 1979 and 1980 models that would create problems if I was to use the Haynes manual for all my info?

I'm pretty sure there's no difference. If there is, it would be very minor, and in silly little details like (e.g. with my CB250RS) the forks have drain plugs but the earlier ones need turning upside down.

I would also not be suprised if your 1980 Wetdream was in fact a 1979 model anyway, but registered in NZ in 1980. A lot of those era Hondas seem to be that way.

CM400, Hawk, Wetdream, 250/400T, all the same farting 3-valve lump, not very complicated either. Probably wouldn't even need the manual to rebuild the bastard.

    Have fun
