speed and danger do not go hand in hand. one doesnt directly relate to the other. I wont be at any more fri night rides cause I working nights now but there a a few of us who have been here since the beginning and would hate to see fri night ride get a repuatation that is just doesnt deserve.
It is a newbie friendly social ride where everyone keeps in their comfort zone and rides at the pace they feel comfortable with. The only thing thats not allow is falling off.

Sorry to hear about ya little miss hap Sparkie, not good, could havesold ya a mint gxs 250 a while ago, might be safer if ya buy me swift instead, at least it's a suzi![]()
Still no bike huh
Pleased your ok sparles, unfortunatly it happens to most of us when we start riding. Normaly a great reality check
I am a bit concerned with the amount of accidents on the fnr as well, like cowboyz has stated we started this ride as an easy ride to finish the week off and enable us all to have a regular catch up. My suggestion is leave the testosterone at home if you are a little competative when you ride and ride to live.
Lets be a bit more carefull out there, life is short enough as it is
Had a few speedsters on Taranaki rides which were Tuesday night rides, went on one,and never again, when you see a guy pass 5 bikes on yellow lines and just(and was just)miss being a bonnet emblem on a Mack truck as he went round a corner. Was ok but 2 or 3 of us were just pssed and right in the line of crash had it happened.
Just slow down a bit guys, sure at the end of the week you can be either knackered mentally and brain fade kicks in,or just stuffed,no need to hoon off with the fast guys, mind you the straights are good if ya can tuck in behind them, they get caught first.
I suggest a Friday ride meeting at Takapau intersection about 6.00pm,heading into town.
Hello officer put it on my tab
Don't steal the government hates competition.
Was thinking about maybe organising a cafe/bar to meet at after the rides on Friday.Somewhere that if you're unable to get on the ride can have a coffee or beer with any crew not heading home.Might be about 8.00 ish or so depending on ride length.Or a finishing spot to end the ride and grab a feed and drink.
Maybe Speights bar,Cuba,Aqaba,Barista(open till midnight),Rexs as example,or anyone have a favorite.Needs to have enough room if a few stay on.

Post is the first one in HB Bikeoi thread I think...not good at the linky thing, but will get Mstrs on to that for you
Anderson Park is in Kennedy Rd, Greenmeadows (between Taradale and town) across from the ambulance station.
If you come in on HW 2, go over the first overbridge and take a left just before the second, stay on that road...you will see us!
Will get Mstrs to post a map for you too, eh?
Thanks heaps!

Basically, if you are coming from the south...
Head towards Napier via the Expressway
Turn left towards Taradale at the Meeanee Rd interchange
Turn right at the lights (Guppy Rd)
Turn right at the next lights (Gloucester St)
Turn left and park up when you see the STJohns Ambo stn on your right.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
