I've seen what you'll be riding for your test, it's all good, according to yod those things are a doddle to ride and I cant see any reason why they would'nt be. Good luck for your respective tests you guys.

The problems will arise when you become complacent or a bad habit creeps in, like me alwasy taking my hands off the bars, or trying to balance while stationary instead of placing my feet down and for Lis, she stops with only one foot on the ground. You have to use both for the test.

Practice day today for riding correctly... aka anally

i thought you had your full's ,aren't you on 400's?
Their is a thread on here from a guy who has done his full explaining all the little things the AA guy told him you need to show on your full test ,you might want to have a little look at that.

good luck with the test! any plans for new bikes yet ?

I've been racing bikes since knee high to a grasshopper, BMX, MTB, 125 MX, 250 MX, 125 SX both here and overseas (10th in the Northern Territories MX Champs (OZ) in 2000 on a loaned YZ125 while on deployment in Timor) so yes we are on 400's and no we aren't up to legal speed.

New bikes? Not really, I love the 400 and so does she. If they made a 600 or 650 version of a firestorm that would suit her.
If I ever bought a new bike it would probably be an 08 Ten Kate replica Hannspree CBR600RR.

O i don't have anything against you riding them at all if thats what you though ,as you probably know im in the same boat in terms of license and the bike i ride.

Has she ridden a sv650s and maybe added the full fairing kit to that ? they look like a mini firestorm

id actually like to chat with you about some fairing decal designs for my katana .. i saw you run a sign design place or the like ..have a few ideas that id like to run past you etc

I hope so uneasy since I have not had a practice ride yet .. never mind get it early find a quiet st & practice a few U turns .. plus I hate tests at the best of times .. thats the only part I am worried about .. everything else all good ..

try the Feilding test, where they take you to the steepest hill here, make you ride up halfway. stop. Cut the engine. restart. Pull away and perform the U Turn as your going up the hill.
Sounds like fun to me but Lis said when she did it she was packing.

for the full they'll ask you to tell them all the hazards you see at a particular intersection....make sure you include the examiner as well (ie: any vehicles behind you)

I still remember all those years ago leaving the examiner for dead and meeting him back at the station. On a borrowed RD50
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

    Anything happening tonight?

If not may I suggest a wee sojourn over to the "Stump" if thats not too much of an effort? Assemble Ashhust 5:30 to leave at Six?

Alternative could be Dogs aboad and back. If found the spare CB250RS barrel last weekend.

Anyone interested in doing a low key day ride to Gisborne on either the weekend of (June) 5th or 6th or if that weekend is no good weather wise the following (11th and 12th)?
Will have to be a early start so we don't have to rush things and maybe look toward a late lunch in Gizzy.
    thoughts? yes/no?
Opps, should have posted this in "Manawatu rides".
