Alright I GET THE MESSAGE. Pilot Road 2's - I have read the reviews. Thanks guys. Now to reorganise the priority list.

Friday Night - Ride with Matt. (Racey, screaming, borrowed naked 250 cbr)

Met Matt at my house after Tea. We went and explored some awesome riding roads with neat views. Onepuhi / Porewa Road, Leedstown Road, Mt. Curl Road (Hunterville to Marton) which turned into shingle uphill into the sun with quite a bit of wind so we turned around and came back through Tokorangi and Makino Road. I must try Mt Curl Road from Marton end one day soon.

The eyes take a bit of adjusting to the long dusk. A good opportunity to try out the Katana headlights on bends etc. but still not quite dark enough. More night rides req. over the next few weeks.

The Katana back wheel was all over the place and slid on a couple of surface changes, bridge entry etc. I know it has a slow leak (must work out where I put my tyre gauge).

Personally, I think a Metzler Z6 would suit your bike and riding style well - should give good mileage too.

I got a good bead breaker here that is nice and small and portable. You can borrow it anytime.

    Cheers cowboyz!

I just didn't realise how much pressure was required to break the bead. I don't have wooden studs in my shed, so I mounted my device to the workbench. I was able to lift the bench with about 40kg + Tracy sitting on it. Stubborn fucken tyre I reckon!

Some are just like that. I built a bead breaker and broke it trying to get a tyre off and then went, fuck it and brought a proper one. Makes it a shitload easier with the proper gear.

What a day. Just got home after thinking it would be all over in 2 hours. Must be a record even for us.

The Apiti Loop had proceeded swimingly until shortly before Kimbolton when following Dog's on the blue beast I noticed his rear looked a little strange.

Shortly after, the beast ground to a halt with a rather large flat spot. Luckily there was a house very convieniently placed and the occupants very biker friendly (can't have been the mad lady with the hotline lol).

Bike stashed in the shed and a quick pillion brief to Dog's and we were off.

104 kg makes a Tiger handle slightly differently but was having a jolly old time. Hit the twisties up toward Kimbloton when I hear some strange 'wind noise'.

Turned out to be Dog's screaming Stopped at Kimbolton and explained that it's normal to lean if one doesn't want to end up down the bank

cry baby that would of been funny to see

Here we were treated to the 2nd most funny thing of the day as Cowboyz pulled a lovely 12 oclocker which turned into 3 pm - on the scooter!

Onward to the next Daytona, lashed er down and back to Ashhurst for emergency surgery.

Great day out guys, total classic

Thought I'd introduce myself.. no, I don't own the VMax but the lady who does comes into the pub that I drink at (Rex's, Fairs Rd). It's brand spanking new and I'm pretty sure she said the first 09 in the country. She's only little and the bike is a bloody monster alright!

I ride a new (08) SV1000SK7, black with black Neptune cans. Had it just over a month now and loving it. Might have to catch up with you guys one day and tag along for a ride somewhere.

    Cheers.
