Well went to work this morning feeling all giddy about tonight, kept clock watching and I
am sure I saw it go backwards a couple of times!
Finally it got to four and I was off to the dreaded (wil not mention the name) motorbike shop to buy some
decent fitting goves thanks to the advice of Monie. They worked a treat!
Raced home to get ready and decorate Norman with his newly made keyring, six oclock yay we can finally go.
Sarahtvet turned up right on tme and we were off to mobil where there were alot, and I mean ALOT of bikes already
there waiting. After alot of talking and more talking we were off! I was determined to stay at the back cause I wasnt too
keen on holding anyone up and my wonderful husband pootled in front so I could keep an eye on his lines and sarah very bravely
sat behind me to ward off any cages. Thanks sarah felt very safe with you behind me.
We got to colyton turn off and I was feeling quite comfortable, there were a few bikes waiting there so I came to a stop put
my left foot down and got nothing but air! Norman decided he didnt want to stay so rolled off to the left and I didnt want him
to leave me behind so I fell ( quite slowly I think!) and took him down with me. It was a nice soft landing, though my leg doesnt
agree!! I hit the ground and just started laughing, Meanie and Sarge came to pick up Norman and I couldnt stop laughing, I was thinking
how funny that must have looked! Did a quick check on Norman and the clutch seemed a little tight so Lance took him for a quick spin down the road
to check everything was alright. All good so off we went to meet the rest of the crowd in colyton.
You would think that having a kickstart would make you learn to not stall pretty quickly, but not me from then on I just kept stalling
almost everytime I came to a stop!! Aaargh I was geting a little frustrated after the third time! i think manwithav8 thought I was swearing at him!
Anyway met up with the rest of the crowd again at the top of mount biggs and asked Lance how far are we from feilding, he said five km so I said lets go
I am hanging out for a smoke and a cold one by then! This time we took off in front and it was awesome just being in amongst the group. Finaly got to
feilding and just couldnt help myself but to stall one more time!!
Well after a few laughs and a catch-up on how the ride went we had to leave to go pick up the kids. Lance went off for gas and me sarah and lee
waited on the side of the road for him. Once we got out of feilding and through bunnythorpe I decided to pin the throttle and got Norman up to 120
woohoo!!!
What a great ride!!
As Meanie says, I have the bug! Looking forward to the next one!!!
Its all good when its green
WAIOEKA GORGE ROCKS!!
Good on ya Mrs Cowboyz!Glad you enjoyed your ride out tonight!
By the way, you're not the only one with stalling issues. It's the one thing my partner is having trouble with, but I'm sure it'll come with more practice!

Nunquam Non Paratus
Nice report Mrs C, you did an outstanding job last night, well done.
Really enjoyed the last night, starting work next week so come friday i'll really be looking forward to the FNR.
Way to go Mrs C,we all drop the bike once,as for stalling with electric start no one notices you have stalled but with kick start is difficult to hide what you're doing.
Be good to see you with full license and Mr C on the back(will be his excuse to let ya ride as sober rider?).
Much like the mastercard adds once you have full license-New helmet $200,new tyres $550set,taking the ZX9 when Lance not home-Priceless.![]()
Hello officer put it on my tab
Don't steal the government hates competition.
Well done Mrs C, you rode like a champion, and you have an excuse for your little tumble, where as I don't. Beginners go through those issues which is now making me think am I still a beginner lol.
Now you have the bug and it will only become more fun as you ride for longer and faster ( within the limits of course).
Was a good ride last night, I'm a little gutted about the tumble but as stated over a cold beer, "rather it happen like that than out on the open road"
The RF isn't looking too bad at all, a clean and a polish will help the cosmetics and a new indicator lens will see it safe for the road again.
The fairings will come off sometime soon for a little sand and a temporary paint touch up. Brand new paint job and exhaust when I get back from overseas I reckon.
And thanks to who ever helped lift that heavy sucker back onto it's wheels, didn't see who you were cos I was too busy hiding my head in shame...
But I stil have a great night..
Realy good to see you again Bonez. You got to be pleased to see Norman out doing what he should
Didnt see what happened Lee but hey we all have moments like that, just some of us are lucky enough to do it when theres no one around
Pleased to see you behave yourself Lance and good on you for encouraging Bobbie with her riding, now you better say goodbye to the savings as you prepare to fund two bikes on the road. It gets bloody expensive, but worth it
Not the smartest thing to do with a sports tourer but looks dam impressive all the same
Ballast
Anyone out riding this weekend? Lis has loaned me her bikes to use this weekend for get my fix while I'm waiting for the D675 to arrive.
