Has anyone heard anything about hanshi/helen on the vmax crashing over the weekend? I heard that the vmax is not in a good state and helen is in hospital?

Chinese whispers? I heard she did some nasty damage to the side of her bike, which turned out to be sod all apparently.

I also heard a while back that I'd crashed and was lying on the Pahiatua Track seriously injured!

I'll wait till I hear something more concrete, than rumour's from Rex's bar!

The rumors are true. I spoke to her on Tuesday
Helen is in hospital and is having an operation to repair her hip on friday
She apparently hit some loose metal going into a corner somewhere out the back of pahiatua and ended up in a ditch. It was on the radio news on Monday morning, i think they mentioned her getting air lifed out.
Not sure about the bike i have heard rumors about it being a write off but Helen seemed to think it wasnt too bad.
She is in ward 24 at PN public hospital if anyone wanted to know

Went over the desert road today in the car and saw exactly what you ment about the road, it is definitly at its wors with tar coming through everywhere and holes all over the road, gets real bad as soon as you hit the twisties on the north end
WTF are they doing with all our money we pay in tax towards the roads, certainly not much maintenance
