    Used hyosung prices?

As i'll be fleeing the country in a few months I'll have to sell mine, but very few seem to come up on trademe that are not new or close to it, same goes for here. This leads me to believe that one of the following has happened:

-Most of them are still in the hands of the original owners
    -They all get written off
    -They sell very quickly

So, I have a 2006 with 2500 or so k's. 1000k dealer service has been done, oil and filter at 2000. New warrant and rego. It has been dropped, the exhaust has been banged around a bit, back plastics are lightly scratched, tank is fine and it is currently missing a tacho (left in bits on the road). Replaing that would be $150 or so from the online guy in korea.

Anyone have any ideas on what i should be asking?

Its the unfaired model? I'd say around $5500 to start with?

id be asking about $3500 start for that bike - if you went to the trouble of getting the tacho replaced then you could boost the start price to about $4000. If you get any more than that you should feel lucky as the new 2008 models are out and about now brand spanker fully faired for $7500 + ORC

This bike on trademe is only $5750 2007 modelhttp://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-115500470.htm

And yours is the previous year with higher km and damage.

Mt Eden M/C got a couple of second hand Hyosung 2006 model going for $6,295 couple of months ago so private sale probably $1,000-1500 less. get the tacho repaired and you will be able to boost the price. It has low k's so try to tidy it all up and you might be able to fetch a good price.

My brother bought a 2006 one a couple of months ago for 5k. It was mint when he got it. It only had about 4000ks on it. So I would have to agree with Bull on this
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

Get your broken stuff sorted on your bike.

Do as much as possible yourself or get a student friendly mechanic and you'll do good.

Otherwise you'd be pushing your luck at 4 grand.

Another one agreeing with Bull - about $4k. Given that they've sold a metric shitload of these things over the last two years, and they're a beginners bike, we can conclude that there's about to be no shortage of them on the market. I'd say, therefore, that there's no point in trying to sell it with the tacho missing/broken because a noob will look at it and think "too hard" and just go on to the next one.

If you're interested contact Chris at Queen Street Motorcycles in Auckland. He should be able to help you out with the tacho and even new fairings if you wanted to take it to near mint cond. He's a great guy to deal with and will usually try give you a great price

My wife got the GT250 brand new for 5600... and that included ORC! so highly doubt it. We looked at second hand Hyos but even faired I wasnt willing to pay more than 5K even with extras...
