    Can't find a song...

ok so i heard this song on the rock today at work

it's modern rock but possibly a cover

it has a harmonica, I keep thinking piano man by billy joel...but that was piano (believe it or not) or some other organ

it gets heavier as the song goes and crescendos at the end...

    ROAR! IT'S ANNOYING ME!

Hmmm. It's not Green Day covering John Lennon's "Working Class Hero" is it?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Wash your mouth out! That's the greatest cover I've heard this year!

I know the song. Give me 5 minutes to think of it.

I actually thought the Cornell album wasn't too bad, but I am mellowing as I age. Good on ya Zac.

The singer of said band is Maori and has long dreads. He also plays the piano.
    It is about rain.
And the piano is mainly arpeggio-type stuff.
EDIT: And I think the band name is "The V..."

Riffer, try some City And Colour. Although it may be too mellow for you.

No such thing as either too mellow or too heavy for me mate. Real musicians don't exclude music from their collection for those criteria.

I find myself in the same situation all the time and it drives me nuts! Next time you hear that song, jump online to therock.net.nz and look at the "now playing" on the front page.
