    1987 nsr 250

    Hi people my indercaters wont go and are making a funny noise when i turn them on and idears?? Help.

    I'd say check your fuses first , and if they're fine check the actual bulbs? Not that I'd know though

    Sounds like the flasher unit has died.

    But as Rob says, start with fuses and bulbs before going that far.

    I know when I used to have a battery, if it was flat then the indicators would do that (like a buzzing) until it was charged. How's the rest of your lighting?

    Yep good advice, check the battery is up to standard before dismantling anything. Then, turn on the indicators, if all you get is a buzzing noise the flasher relay is likely stuffed. You can by-pass it with a bit of wire. Then the indicators will come on, but not flash if you have correctly identified the problem.

    The other common fault is a blown bulb or a fault in the wiring. This normally means that one indicator won't light up at all, and the other one will light up but not flash.
