    Weight rollers

What is the main advantage in getting light weight rollers? Does it decrees the top end?
However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

    Ignorant big-wheelers..

Lighter variator rollers will require more revs before they move out as far as heavier ones therefore at any given engine speed you're geared lower...so, yes better acceleration and probably lower top end.

Having said that, it depends where your engine makes it's power so it's not quite that simple.

This also dictates the revs at which the clutch starts to bite. Lighter weights on a more powerful motor give you a smoother, more managable start rather than instant 'peakiness' (like dropping the clutch on a manual)

    rollers?
well, lighter rollers on a CVT tranny will give more accel and less top end.
on something like the lead just go for a l/c engine
