    Reinstalled wheel won't turn freely

    Reinstalled wheel won't turn freely

I got the tyres changed at the workshop, I have reinstalled the wheels.
But now the front wheel won't spin freely when the axle nut is tightened to the recommended torque.
It spins pretty freely if I loosen the axle nut a bit, to about half the recommended torque of 78 N-m (that's 8kg-m or 58 ft-lb).
But I think maybe it's not really safe to ride at only half the recommended axle-nut torque.

I tried it again, removed the wheel and installed it again, still the same. Strange. Maybe it was always like this and the nut was never at its recommended torque, it's a new old bike for me, and I've not taken the wheels off before.

Next step is to see if it's rubbing on the brake pads, or if there's something wrong at the hub/axle.
Determined to kill my bike before it kills me

Yup, I'd be checking that all the spacers are there firstly, and secondly that they are installed correctly. Wear marks on the flat surfaces should give you an indication.
