    Post Licence for fire works?

I have been thinking that the problem with fireworks is the way a few people use them. Not all 30 year olds are grown up enough to deal with them safely. Some Teens can. Now there is no way that they would setup a seperate system for vetting people before they can buy or use fireworks.
There is already a group of people that are regarded as "safer" with explosive devices especially the sort that lob objects throuh the air.
What if the use of common grade fire works was a catogry of a firearms licence? Comercial grade fireworks could be a seperate catogry. It would put most uses of small explosive devices under one licence ramset gun, rifle, shotgun, hand guns, explosive spearguns, fire works etc. I would expect that a licence for a rifle would cover common grade fireworks but a licence for common grade fireworks would not cover rifles, A bit like HT and car licence.

This would mean that on;y poeple who had been vetted could buy and use these (fireworks) explosive devices and the people that are supervising the ignition of these devices have something to lose if the devices are not treated with due care and precaution.

    what do ya think?

Whats the world coming to if your mate can't shoot a skyrocket out of his ass
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!!

I see your reasoning and its a good point, but (there had to be a but of course) I enjoyed letting sparklers and showy fireworks off with my kids, it was great seeing their faces with each display. However your probably right something has to be done or are we just getting to PCsoft?

Kind of agree with the sentiment but pall at the thought of more micro-management from that ever burgeoning government.
