    Thumbs up

    Rear hugger would be great.

Really good prices by the way. I was looking for a carbon hugger on ebay after I bought the bike and couldn't get one to nz for near that.

Hi again mate - sorry for asking really silly questions.....but im unsure as to where these are on the 01' Fazer 1000.
There are no heatsheilds as its a side pipe (unlike say the FZ6), and the tank is metal.
As for the others, i should be able to get at least something before xmas.....mabey the rear hugger as i need one.

    Hey Hectic,

    GSXR1000 K1,K2
    Front fender $187
    Heel plates $56
    Rear hugger $120

    Vagrant, no RC30 yet sorry.

BTW, If anybody wants the full pricelist, I have it now. PM me with your email address and I will send it to you. It needs some sorting out still, there are some model years missing and some incomplete descriptions. These will be corrected, along with better pics as soon as possible.

    The website is underway.

I am waiting for the first shipment to confirm quality etc, but am confident enough that it will be OK to order for you already. No commitment to buy until you see the product.

Delivery is currently about 6 weeks from order, just until I can get stock levels up.

I'd appreciate an answer to this question too. I know of most MV carbon manufacturers and if you tell me who it is I'll know if it's a quality product or not (ie up to MV standard). There is no way I'd consider ordering otherwise. It is a fairly simple question after all. (even tell me the country..)

I'm picking that none of the quality MV carbon producers use such tactics as backing them with fibre glass. Given that you've the dollars for the MV in the first place, you'd be better off respecting such quality with a manufacturer that uses prepreg construction.

    And whilst we're discussing carbon...
The parts are 3K twill carbon Fibre and manufactured using the vaccuum bagging process, not wet layering which ends up heavy and thick.
Vacuum bagging is either wet layup or resin infusion. End of story. To say that wet layups end up heavy and thick is essentially an untruth. The only parts that end up thick and heavy are the ones backed with fibreglass. Carbon parts that are wet layed up are almost exclusively vacuum bagged, and funnily enough, the primary reason for this is to achieve a good resin/weave ratio.

The only exception of note is an overlay, which is a cosmetic effect, usually only used for things like trim panels on cars. You would have an incredibly high resin content in a non vacuum bagged part, which would result in a brittle part with little strength. I've seen the odd piece of carbon in my time, but I've never come across any commercially made motorcycle parts that weren't vacuum bagged (assuming they were made using the wet layup construction method and not prepreg in an autoclave).

Of course, most of them don't bother with wet layups anymore, they all seem to be getting into resin infusion, which results in a better part anyway.

Finally, the high quality carbon manufacturers are using prepreg construction techniques, which essentially means they don't add any more resin, the manufacturer of the carbon sheet does that in the correct ratios. That does not mean however that you can't get a high quality finish from either of the above methods, far from it, it's just that the best of the best is made using prepreg in an autoclave oven.

Good comments Imdying....I've done some carbon & glass work myself, (I even have a project Viper in my garage, plug foamed & glassed, faired up ready for a final paint...then to mould for a cleared-out carbon body, chassis & donk all finished) I am just curious as to whose parts he is importing but I don't thing he's gonna tell me

Settle down guys, I will be quite happy to tell you where they come from in a few weeks time. I want to get the samples in for a quality check before I sign with them, and then it is all out in the open.

This post was really just to get a feel for which particular models and pieces are most popular so I don't bring in a truckload of bits nobody wants. It turned out to be more popular than I expected.

Imdying and MVnut, you guys obviously know a bit about carbon fibre, more than I do personally. I will be sure to let you have a look at the first samples for your opinion.

As you can see from the pricing, I am not doing this to get rich. I just think that most Carbon products are horribly over-priced and we can do better.
