Question Wanted: ideas for the North Island vacation

    Folks,
after extensive debates between my old lady and my most esteemed self we agreed to split the upcoming Xmas vacation into 3 parts, one week each. First week will be spent in Coromandel, the second, in the Bay of Plenty. The third presents the problem: we are out of ideas. Herein lies the challenge: finding a place to spend a week and keep ourselves entertained. What we are looking for: kayaking, relatively gentle MTB trails, trekking, BBQ, this sort of things. May be even a bit of geocaching. Any ideas will be really appreciated and rewarded with as much green bling as I can afford.
    Thanks!

Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule

What she said! And then carry on down to the lovely Hawkes Bay for a few days!
