First time with paint. I'm sure your mum has a different view on that.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
If this were the NBA I would get an assist for that one...
Green for the name of above player.

That satin finish looks nice, should be easier to clean than a flat matte finish.I notice you advertise KTL motorcycles??? fk your keen i have heard some pretty dodgy stories come from 'ol motorhaus (Kerry sellin bikes with wrong year & model etc).. ditch that sea anchor too m8 an after market can will be 1/3 the weight.
Cheers dude, bike should look great once the rest is painted.
Have you met Kerry at KTL? He's a friggin awesome dude and he and his mates are putting their own cash into getting two very good mates racing on some mint 749R bikes. Thats the kind of thing I judge people on, not hearsay
Can is going to go as soon as I can. Sounds like a tractor at the moment.

That does look good, well done.
So anyone know if you can use paint-stripper on fairings?
LOL, no it wasn't that bad, but it is a semi-serious question.
I took the tail section and two front flappy bits and spent farking ages trying to get the damn stickers off. Primered/sanded/primered...ran out of primer/sanded/satin-black/light-sand/satin/satin/satin/ran out of satin, and they turned out ok. All but one piece had a bit that went a bit funny. Thought was a reaction to something but have concluded that maybe I didn't dry them sufficiently. Oh well. Its not too obvious.
So... the entire back half of the bike is satin-black... I think its good, but needs something else. Maybe some white number-boards? I have pics but will have to post tomorrow as I can't find camera cable at home. Fuggit.
I'll get some pledge and give the paint a clean... I've had a go at taking the front-fairing off to see how easy it is, and now I'm contemplating painting that myself. I might be more judicious with the primer/sanding with that bit. I used two cans of satin with the work I've done so far, might get away with one for the front. Dunno.

If you have more bits to do, to get the decals off, use a hairdryer or hot-air gun on them first, which should get them off pretty easily. You can clean any residue off with lost of things: petrol, eucalyptus oil, paint brush cleaner, WD40, etc. Follow up with meths to get any oily residues off.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
