I blame those Harely riders, too busy looking tough.

We weren't just travelling in just any van, it was a white van.
It was a total pisstake, and I had fun waving to see if anyone looks into any of the 10,000,000 white vans travelling along the countryside hahaha
Oh, I don;t think I waved at scooters though, so does that make me bad.
Sorry, thought we hadn't seen any waving threads for a day or so.

If you do a search you will find quite a few posts about making a KB special wave. I personally have seen at least two threads on this subject in the last few years, and they are always swamped by clowns with "funny" suggestions after about two dozen posts or so.

Why don't Harley riders wave ?

What is it with Harley riders not waving to other riders? I get waved at all the time By all sorts of bikes and riders but not Harleys?? Is it because I am sub human or not worthy? I ride A Ducati. I wave to all bikes. I don't care what people ride, theyr'e doing what I'm doing. Enjoying themselves.

It's one of lifes' little mysteries. If you search the site you'll see that many people have pondered the same thing.

Me - I just think they are concentrating really really hard on the next corner, it's not easy to get a Harley to go round a corner and must take lots of concentration.

They need both hands to hang on for dear life. Waving could be the last thing they do!

Maybe they don't want their tassles and fringes to get tangled in the wind as they raise their arm.
I'm pretty sure I've coaxed a wave or two out of Harley riders before though.

10 reasons why harley riders dont wave.

    10. Afraid it will invalidate warranty.

    9. Leather and studs make it too heavy to raise arm.

    8. Refuse to wave to anyone whose bike is already paid for.

    7. Afraid to let go of handlebars because they might vibrate off.

    6. Rushing wind would blow scabs off the new tattoos.

    5. Angry because just took out second mortgage to pay luxury tax on new Harley.

    4. Just discovered the fine print in owner's manual and realized H-D is partially owned by Honda.

    3. Can't tell if other riders are waving or just reaching to cover their ears like everyone else.

    2. Remembers the last time a Harley rider waved back, he impaled his hand on spiked helmet.

    1. They're too tired from spending hours polishing all that chrome to lift their arms.

    10. Wasn't sure whether other rider was waving or making an obscene gesture.

    9. Afraid might get frostbite if hand is removed from heated grip.

    8. Has arthritis and the past 400 miles have made it difficult to raise arm.

    7. Reflection from etched windshield momentarily blinded him.

    6. The espresso machine just finished.

    5. Was actually asleep when other rider waved.

    4. Was in a three-way conference call with stockbroker and accessories dealer.

    3. Was distracted by odd shaped blip on radar screen.

    2. Was simultaneously adjusting the air suspension, seat height, programmable CD player, seat temperature, and satellite navigation system.

    1. Couldn't find the "auto wave back" button on dashboard.

yeah i'd be thinking they hanging on to their heavy beasts and if they release a hand it will cause wobbles and they'll fall off
