    Waving and Nodding...What's going on?!!

Is it just me or has the whole waving and nodding thing slowly disappearing off the roads? I've noticed it a lot lately around town, not so much on the open road.

I was wondering if this could be because of the large number of newbie bikers due to traffic, petrol etc, and they just have no idea of custom etc? whereas those on the open road tend to be the more "serious" biker who know what to do when passing another biker!

Is there also some form of hierachy that i'm oblivious to? when i'm on my CBR cruisers won't say hi and when i'm on mum's shadow the reverse is true??!! what's going on?

Being a "serious" biker, I didn't even know it was a custom. Maybe it should be in the road code?
