Been thinking I should wear my full gear when in the cage. So they know! I have a feeling the special wave reply would be the middle finger... And not just from harleys.

Wear your helmet while driving in the car? That way they know you're a really biker trapped in a cage?

Was it a yellow Bandit? Cause that may have been me...

I'm an equal opportunity waver/nodder. I usually wave if the road is straight, once waved my left hand near a left hand curve which taught me to nod in such situations.

And if you're nodding, lift your head (don't nod your head downwards) - lifting your head lets you keep your eyes on the road!!!

    I wave or nod to:

    Other cruisers
    HOGs or non-HOGs
    Gang or non-gang
    Sports bikes in all circumstances
Police cars and bikes (hey, if I have a bin they're the guys who will be there untangling as much as is possible - who would want their job, they deserve a wave or a nod)
    Scooter riders
    Pretty ladies in cages.

I also nod or wave to bikers when driving a cage

I do the Cop ahead wave, left hand above the head, index finger pointed up, rotate hand - like a flashing light

By definition you aren't. You're a car driver.

On REAL motorcycles ... the rear brake is operated by the right foot ( some peculiar manufacturers have put it on the left ) this leaves the left hand free to wave ...

i think so, it was on newlands road heading south, pedestrian crossing by blackrock road. If it was you, good skills in avoiding a sticky situation! I was on a black CBR, black helmet, black jacket etc

    Another waving thread

So today I was pulling out of my driveway waiting to enter the traffic, and a biker cop who was riding past gave me a friendly wave.

And 2 weeks ago a Harley rider waved to me without me waving to him in the first place.

What is the world coming to?

Hmmm, maybe you need more swastikas and nazi apparel on your bike? That'll get you more deserved attention.

There were two Popos on bikes in Chur Chur today. I'm their boss.

If I can identify which one waved, I'll sort him out.

What punishment do you think is appropriate? Stoppage of donuts?

Yeah but then all those darkie & muslim bikers with tinted visors wouldn't wave back to little Smokey. That would be sad.
