Could have been the road or time, only went up to Amberly. Got more on the way back.

As for validation. It's more one of those little things with riding that I've always enjoyed. A little wave or nod of the helmet to say hi. Remember as a kid (and they probably still do) truckers having similar rituals with each other.

If you ever see someone in a Magna Station Wagon waving at you, it's not an acknowledgement... it's an enticement.

You need to count the number of fingers they are waving at you with - only a full house counts for validation ..

Today, rode past about 4-5 riders on the opposite side of the road who all nodded at me whilst i waved frantically. Unsurprisingly in my short time riding it's been all the cruisers and harleys that don't wave at me. All the crotch rocket lads give me my proper respect, waves and all. I think the biker wave comes down to - hey theres another guy just like me that has little to no regard for his life. I know this subject has been beaten to death, hell, i'm pretty sure i'm necroing this thread. But I think harley riders think they're superior, something about their lil american made machines makes them reckon they're the bees knees. As if your life is worth more than my life ya lil cunt. Sell your harley and fuck off to USA. We got enough yanks here.

For safety reasons, l suggest you look straight ahead and keep both hands on the bars.
Dont wave...... you might crash by doing so.
