Oh yeah, I wave to little school kids, old men mowing their lawns, cute girls walking down the street, the occasional dog and whatever else takes my fancy!
So your the one that the local schools have been warning us about ......

Even worse! I teach at one of them! When my students ask :

"Sir, why did you decide to be a teacher"
    I reply
"Nothing like what you think, I'm actually not allowed to be within 100 feet of kids, but my parole officer said they needed more teachers in return for a shorter sentence"

look is what I normally get ... some of the smarter kids also get to double take

But in truth, they love it when I sling my leg over the saddle, rev up and blat down the road (they have a competition to see who can spot me out and about ) One of them noted I had waved to their little brother on the way to primary and told him all about it, and natch, got back to me about that!

So, yeah - that's why I wave to one and all, encourage them early to start on two wheels!

Question is, "What do you think to yourself if you don't get an acknowledgement to your nod/wave?"

Me? I think, "miserable bastard...too up his/her own arse to return the compliment" or maybe... "that's funny, didn't look like a Harley to me!"

I ride that stretch of road heaps of times......

So you live near there.... then you should show up on the Thursday night rides..... They meet up at Diary Flat corner by the service station, before heading on to the drinking hole.

interesting. I am kind of over the waving thing. I do it sometimes, sometimes its returned, whatever.

I have noticed an interesting trend of people on HD's waving back. they never used to. I speculate its because a lot of re entry riders (with "non HD habits") end up on HD's and back in the day when they were riding, it was compulsory to wave at one and all.

    but, meh.

Me?? I don't give a shit. I also think they could be concentrating or whatever so its no worries. But the ones that do wave ya tend to remember.

KB is a reality all right... I've been here just over a year, and often recognise bikes going past. Even wave from if we're walking on the footpath.... that surprises some. Living close to some favourite roads out east helps. Then you go to Big Boys Toys and see heaps of KB'ers there too!!
