Waving - the neverending saga (multiple threads merged into one)

I hate the ones that look right at you when you wave but they don't respond back in anyway.

There is this old fuck on a BMW of somekind wearing a bright floro vest and speacialty open face BMW helmet that I see every day on my way home from work. He always looks at me and I wave but have yet to get anything back from him. Think I might try the guy in the vids pattented wave tomorrow. If that doesn't work it'll be the harley to sportsbike wave.

I'll normally give a small wave or a head nod, and will return one if not given first.

My waves are sorta out of respect for other riders.... and is basically saying.. "Ride safely..."

I see a few bikers out south/east auckland back roads, alfriston road etc.. I wave to all on 2 wheels! I can't really tell a harley from other cruisers but I've seen a few and they've all given me a casual wave, sometimes before I wave to them! (I'm usually the first to wave, seeing a fellow biker makes me happy and I do a stupid excited "look at me!! im riding too!!! hello!!!" wave).

There was one time when I was caught in the rain on great south road with jeans on and a cruiser pulled up next to me at the lights, I think a 6'1 soaked boy on his street bike made his day, he had to pull his mirror tint visor up to laugh at me some more!

No hard feelings though, I do look like a bit of a cluts on a small bike like a GPX

I wish there was some universal KB wave that was distinct enough to know that they were from KB, as I too haven't been on any KB rides yet and it'd be nice to know if there's any riding around where I am!

10 years ago, I think my waves were also the "excited look at me, I'm on a bike too" type and I'd fire them off at anyone and any bike. As I rode a "metric" cruiser at the time, I didn't get many returns from either the sport or Harley riders though. Still, it didn't discourage me and as I'm about to be one of the "return to riding" group and I'll be on an HD, I'll probably pick up where I left off!

"Two wheels" is what unites us, not who makes them

i gave up waving to harley riders AGES ago unless i know them! i wait for them to do something first. they never responded! i wave to everybody else or nod

I only wave to peeps I think will wave back, and that`s everyone,but don`t wave to the cows.You might wanna change your profile pic some people here think it`s a pick up site. (SO how you doing) lol just kidding
